The following Microsoft components are required for the
correct operation of Quest Interpreter. Practices with missing Microsoft
components can obtain them from the Microsoft website
1.
Microsoft Scripting Runtime
(scr55en.exe) is included in the Quest
Interpreter 'Build' and should run automatically the first time Quest
Interpreter is started. To install manually, navigate to C:\Program Files\RFM
and double-click on scr55en.exe. This will install Scripting Runtime. N.B.
This is usually already installed on Windows 2000 and Windows NT machines
and cannot be re-installed.
2.
DCOM98. If not already installed, it is available from the Microsoft
web site at http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom/dcom98/dowload.asp You may be
asked to reboot after installing this. After downloading the file from the
web site (saving it to disk), use Windows Explorer to navigate to the file
and open it (double-click). This will install DCOM98 on your computer.
3. MDAC 2.5.
Available from http://www.microsoft.com/data/download_25SP3.
After downloading the file from the web site (saving it to disk), use
Windows Explorer to navigate to the file and open it (double-click). This
will install MDAC on your computer.
4. Internet Explorer version 5.5
or higher (on a Windows NT machine).
Please note.
If you are downloading the files (in 2 and 3 above) to a
computer different to the one on which you are running Quest Interpreter,
you need to copy the downloaded files to the Quest Interpreter machine and
then install them on the Quest Interpreter machine by double-clicking as
explained above. |
